ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

Why I became a Therapist

I came into counselling through a deep respect for the process of reflection and growth.

Therapeutic training is not only academic, it is experiential. It requires honesty, self-exploration, and a willingness to engage with complexity. It asked me to look inward, to sit with discomfort, and to develop the emotional steadiness needed to sit alongside others.

That depth is what drew me to becoming a counsellor.

I value therapy as a space where there is room to pause, to think, to feel. In a world that often demands quick answers and constant movement, counselling offers something different, a structured, confidential space where your experience can be explored without judgement or pressure.

My role is not to fix or direct you. It is to listen carefully, to hold the work steadily, and to support you as you make sense of what feels difficult, stuck or unresolved.

Clients come with many different concerns, anxiety, loss, relationship challenges, identity questions, anger, low mood, or simply a sense that something needs attention. Therapy can provide the safety and clarity needed to understand these experiences more fully.

At the heart of my work is the belief that being heard, genuinely and consistently, creates the conditions for change.

If you are considering therapy, you're welcome to reach out for an initial conversation to see whether this feels like the right space for you.
